He currently owns and operates RR and B Motorcars, LLC. Fenton (St. Louis), MO.
Among some of his more notable accomplishments:
Mr. Miranda has been on both ends of the retail car market; new and used. Since 1980 he has sold primarily used motor vehicles but does take new car orders from long time friends and old clients.
As owner of the dealership, Mr. Miranda is still actively involved in every aspect of daily operations from buying (at auctions), selling, F, I & W (Finance, Insurance and Warranties), through delivery. He is now “winding down” his auto career, and keeps a very small inventory sufficient to occupy his time. He prefers to sell primarily to old friends and clients, and two thirds of his business today is repeat or comes from referrals. On the internet, the dealership can be found at RRandB.com.
While Mr. Miranda has been in the auto industry for over thirty years, he has enjoyed dual professional passions. The second is as owner of a production/management company; ChAmJo Entertainment, where he has managed the careers of several Hollywood film actors (Jan Michael Vincent, Desi Arnaz, Jr., Dean Martin, Jr.), athletes (Michael Spinks) and singers (Chuck Berry, Walter Scott (The Cheater) and Steve March Torme', (Mel’s son).
In the late 70’s Mr. Miranda formed a film production/artist management partnership with then unknown producer, Charles Roven; Elm Productions which was based in Beverly Hills, CA. Their only film venture together “The Day the Beatles Came to Town” was optioned by Universal Studios and abruptly terminated on the death of Elvis Presley due to the dramatic escalation (and budget breaker) in “needle drop” fees.
In the early 80’s he traveled extensively throughout Europe buying all the Rolls Royce and Bentleys he could find for a hungry and diversified upscale US and Canadian clientele. Mr. Miranda has bought and sold over three hundred Rolls Royce and Bentley motorcars.
He has written screenplays for independent films (un-produced), produced an independed feature film (The Prosecutor) and directed music concerts, produced an infomercial with Cindy Williams, and produced several music CD's, including three for Mr. Torme’.
His experience (but lack of current technology) in TV and film production makes him just dangerous enough to get in the way of those who know exactly what they are doing, yet smart enough to know how and when to get out of their way and allow them to practice their craft.
Regarding automobiles however, he stands second to no one in the industry with respect to experience, knowledge and processes of automobile sales, marketing programs and auctions. He is in the trenches every day, attends at least two live auctions weekly and ply’s his trade with great enthusiasm and vigor. He still works long hours each week, but as previously stated has begun to wind down his automotive career and plans to retire sometime in 2010. He is now looking forward to pursuing other interests.
Because of his background, knowledge and experience, he is the ideal source for projects of this nature and could serve as Executive Producer, Producer, Writer or Consultant for his creations. He knows and loves cars. And, can get you a “Great Deal” on your next car, new or used.
